Melinda was President Wayne Palmer's assistant during the events of Day 6.

Melinda was asked by the President to find Tom Lennox so that they could go over his and Hamri Al-Assad's speeches.

She became suspicious of Reed Pollock in the events leading up to the assassination attempt, when he failed to find Tom Lennox at the President's request.

She was later present when the Cabinet gathered at Daniels' request to vote on the 25th Amendment.
