Moscow is the capital of Russia. Russian President Yuri Suvarov and his wife Anya Suvarov lived in that city. Dmitri Gredenko, one of the masterminds behind the nuclear threat in America during Day 6, was also born there.

During the events of Day 5, a separatist group called the Dawn Brigade intended to use Sentox nerve gas on Moscow, for retribution after the Russians occupied a region in Central Asia. However, when they discovered that their American conspirators had been planning to betray them, the Dawn Brigade decided to strike back in Los Angeles.

Sergei Voronov, a separatist leader in Moscow during the day, put Ivan Erwich in contact with Jacob Rossler when Erwich requested help arming the gas containers.
