Ned Bellamy (born May 7, 1957; age 59) portrayed the Attorney General during Season 7 of 24.

Biography and career Edit

Ned Bellamy was born in Dayton, Ohio to Bill and Nelle Bellamy. He spent his childhood in Joplin, Missouri, but his family later moved to La Jolla, California. His brother Mark was U.S. Ambassador to Kenya. Bellamy attended UCLA, and after graduating he founded The Actors Gang, an LA-based theater company.

Among Bellamy's numerous acting parts was a minor role in the acclaimed 1994 film The Shawshank Redemption, where he played a prison guard, along with Jude Ciccolella and Paul McCrane. He also starred in the first installment of the 2004 horror film series Saw, which also featured Tobin Bell and Benito Martinez.

Other films in which Bellamy has appeared are Universal Soldier (with Simon Rhee), Ed Wood (with Louis Lombardi), Con Air (with Mykelti Williamson, Jesse Borrego, Jose Zuniga, and Nick Chinlund), Charlie's Angels, Being John Malkovich (with Gregory Sporleder), Antitrust, Runaway Jury (with Nestor Serrano and Leland Orser), Twilight (with Billy Burke), and Django Unchained.

Aside of films, Bellamy has appeared in TV shows like Resurrection (with Kevin Sizemore), Treme, Under the Dome (also with Sizemore and Dean Norris), Justified, The Unit (with Dennis Haysbert, Max Martini, and Michael Irby), Jericho (with Alicia Coppola and Timothy Omundson), and ER.
