Neil Bhoopalam is an Indian actor who played Aditya Singhania in the Indian version of 24.

Biography and career[]

Bhoopalam was born in Mumbai, India. He started his acting career in 2006, appearing in the film Mera Dil Leke Dekho. He has also appeared in films such as 2006's Offshore, 2008's Lovesongs: Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow, 2009's Fatso!, 2011's No One Killed Jessica and Shaitan and 2013's David.

In 2015, Bhoopalam had a recurring role as Sarang in the TV mini-series Bang Baaja Baaraat.

Role on 24[]

Neil's role of Aditya Singhania mirrors that of David Palmer in the original 24. He had to educate himself on Indian politics to prepare for the role and had seen only the recent seasons of 24, not the first season upon which his role was based on. He was later given the original series first season and scripts for the first twelve episodes of the Indian version but he ended up only focusing on the scripts so his performance wouldn't be influenced by the existing version of the character. He also enjoyed working with Anita Raaj. [1]
