Mr. Nowrasteh was the owner of Paladio Furniture, located in Van Nuys.

Nina Myers found his phone number at the request of Teri Bauer, who was at Paladio Furniture looking for her daughter, Kim. When Teri called Mr. Nowrasteh, all she got was an answering maching message saying, "You have reached the Nowrastehs." She left him a message asking him to return her call immediately.

• Mr. Nowrasteh was most likely named after writer Cyrus Nowrasteh, a close friend of 24 cocreator Joel Surnow.
