Patrick Kelly was the son of Kevin Kelly.

Patrick had committed a murder five years before Day 3, six months before Day 1. His father, Kevin had witnessed the death of Patrick's sister by drunk-driving Alan Milliken.

Sherry Palmer approached Kevin Kelly about testifying against Milliken for purposes of President David Palmer. Kelly said he would do it only if Patrick recieved a presidential pardon. Sherry and David agreed, but Kelly mysteriously disappeared.
