Pete guarded Jane Saunders, the daughter of bio-terrorist Stephen Saunders, in a CTU room. He was approached by Tony Almeida who showed him falsified transfer papers purportedly from Division. Tony was secretly going to smuggle Jane out to save the life of Michelle Dessler, Stephen's hostage. As Tony hurried Pete, he knocked him out with a stun gun and fled with Jane. Pete and another guard were soon found unconscious, as reported by Wilson.
