Phoenix Firewall

The Phoenix Firewall is described as unhackable for its ability to send a virus into the system that is trying to hack. This virus works by using a electromagnetic pulse device to erase all of the hard drive files in order to stop the hack. During Day 5, Chloe O'Brian informed a group of CTU agents in briefing in the Situation Room that the firewall wall is a "poison-pill firewall" and that when someone attempts to circumvent it's security systems, it does a "cold start erase" resulting in the loss of all data. Joseph Malina's computer system (in Day 5) had a Phoenix Firewall protecting his data.
