Prescott O'Brian was the son of Morris O'Brian and Chloe O'Brian.
Chloe first learned she was pregnant from CTU physician Dr. Hastings following her fainting spell during Day 6. Despite their arguments over the course of the day, both Chloe and Morris were overjoyed to receive the news. The two were eventually remarried, and Prescott was born on July 8 four years before Day 7. ("Day 6: 5:00am-6:00am", "Day 7: 4:00pm-5:00pm")
Day 7
During Day 7, Prescott accompanied his parents to Washington, D.C. while Chloe worked with Bill Buchanan and Tony Almeida to investigate a conspiracy in the U.S. government. That evening, Morris left him with a babysitter while he went to secure Chloe's release from FBI custody. Later that night, at their hotel, Chloe insisted that Morris take Prescott out of the city to avoid a possible biological attack. Morris agreed, and Chloe hugged her sleeping son goodbye before leaving for the FBI headquarters. ("Day 7: 4:00pm-5:00pm", "9:00pm-10:00pm", "3:00am-4:00am")
After Day 8
Shortly after Day 8, Prescott was present when FBI agent Scott Frank came to the O'Brian's apartment and placed Chloe under arrest for helping Jack Bauer escape from the authorities. Trying to get her to give up Bauer, Frank had Morris fetch Prescott from his room and warned that, with her minimum sentence, she would go to prison and not see release until after his 21st birthday. Chloe refused to give in, saying that she would be happy because Prescott would know that his mother stuck to her principles. Prescott and Morris could only watch as Chloe was escorted away. Some time afterward, Morris picked up Prescott from soccer practice after dark because Chloe was unable to get away from work. Both Morris and his son were killed when a truck collided with their vehicle and then drove away. Chloe later said that she believed the perpetrator had intended to kill her instead, due to her involvement in helping Jack Bauer escape from the authorities. ("Day 9: 1:00pm-2:00pm")
Later, however, Adrian Cross revealed to her that he had obtained information that indicated that Prescott's death was in fact, simply an accident, but had kept it from her for fear that she would leave him and his organization. ("Day 9: 8:00pm-9:00pm")
