Rade Šerbedžija (born July 27, 1946; age 70) played Dmitri Gredenko during Season 6 of 24. For his appearances on 24, he was credited as Rade Sherbedgia.

Biography and career Edit

Rade Šerbedžija was born in the village of Bunić, within the Lika region, in Yugoslavia (what is know Croatia). In 1969, he graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Arts of the University of Zagreb and then worked as a theatre actor in the City Drama Theatre Gavella and at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb.

While studying, Šerbedžija started acting in films and theater. He was very active in both in his native country, and was considered among the top actors in the former Yugoslavia, as well as an esteemed acting teacher at the Universities of Zagreb and Novi Sad. Eventually, he decided to try his talents in the United States.

Through his career, Šerbedžija has had recurring roles in TV shows like Surface (with Ian Anthony Dale and Leighton Meester), Fallen (with Paul Wesley), Red Widow, and Downton Abbey. He has also appeared in CSI: Miami and My Own Worst Enemy.

However, Šerbedžija is more known for his film roles. He has appeared in popular films like Taken 2 (with Leland Orser, Jon Gries, and D.B. Sweeney), X-Men: First Class (with Glenn Morshower and Ray Wise), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, Mission: Impossible II, Space Cowboys (with William Devane), Snatch., Eyes Wide Shut, and The Saint (with Tommy Flanagan).
