Randy Murdoch

Randy Murdoch was an intelligence agent and forensics expert brought in to CTU Los Angeles from CTU San Diego to aid with the search for the nuclear bomb.

Murdoch analyzed a burnt fragment that was found on Syed Ali's clothing after a decoy was burned to death to distract CTU agents from finding Ali. Through a paper fiber analysis, Murdoch was able to find, at first, the number N34, and later, N34G5, which was cross referenced to be a tail number to a plane at Norton Airfield. This was the plane which Omar was supposed to pilot with the bomb inside.
