The Regional District Director is an agent sent from Division to oversee CTU. Though not officially part of CTU, the director does have authority over the Special Agent in Charge, only outranked by orders from the White House.

	Lynn McGill was sent to CTU during the crisis at Ontario Airport during Day 5. He was removed under Section 112 by Curtis Manning, who immediately transferred his power back to Bill Buchanan. Sacrificed himself in a nerve gas attack on CTU in order to save the remaining survivors of the building.
