Sanjit was a cousin of Reza Naiyeer.

Sanjit attended Stanford University around the same time Kate Warner went there.

Sanjit flew in to the Warner home from Detroit to attend the wedding of his cousin Reza to Marie Warner. Once he arrived at the home, Reza and Marie tried to introduce him to Kate, but Kate did not trust Reza because she just discovered a reason to believe he was a terrorist. She blew off the introduction to Sanjit, worried for her sister's safety.
