Kim overhears her boss abusing his wife, so she locks herself and their little girl in the bedroom. Marie Warner is marrying a man who may have connections to the leader of the terrorist group. Her sister Kate is suspicious.

	A train is bombed in Santa Clarita, killing dozens of civilians. While at CTU for a budget meeting, ex-agent Jack Bauer becomes involved in the attempt to stop the terrorist group responsible for the bombing after learning that their next target is his new boss, Secretary of Defense James Heller and his new girlfriend, Audrey Raines.

	Eighteen months after faking his death, Jack Bauer, who's assumed the name Frank Flynn, returns to Los Angeles after the four people who know he's alive come under attack. Jack learns that he's being framed for the attacks.

Meanwhile, Karen Hayes and Tom Lennox argue over proposed security measures that could suspend the rights of Muslim Americans.

	Four years after Day 6, President Allison Taylor prepares for a military action to end the genocide occurring in Sangala under dictator Benjamin Juma. However, he is removed from the questioning by FBI agent Renee Walker and her partner with a more urgent subpoena. Jack learns that his old friend, and former CTU agent, Tony Almeida is still alive and now engaged in criminal activity.
