The Securities and Exchange Commission, or SEC, was a United States federal agency with oversight over financial and stock-related malfeasance.
Following Day 1, SEC banking regulator Raymond Gull collaborated with CTU analyst Darinka Brankovich and GSG-9 operative Bruno Hecht to investigate the late "Ted Cofell", actually former Soviet spy Borvo Sobrinna.
Roger Taylor was allegedly investigated by the SEC for criminal insider trading, leading him to commit suicide. After Roger's death, Frank Boylan agreed to bury the case as a political favor to Roger's mother. This was a cover story, as Roger had actually been killed by Brian Gedge to prevent him from uncovering the conspiracy within Taylor's administration.
