Serge was a terrorist working for Andre Drazen during Day 1.

Serge oversaw the exchange of Alexis Drazen to the Serbs, and had an argument with George Mason. After Alexis was secure, Serge and Harris (Day 1) returned to Dock 11A of the Los Angeles Harbor.

Alexis died later, and when Kim Bauer escaped he and Marko went looking for her. Serge was killed when Jack Bauer stormed the building with a van in revenge for Kim's supposed death.
