Shedrack Anderson III (born February 4, 1977; age 47) played Brett Rogers during Day 3 of The Rookie.

Biography and career

Shedrack Anderson III was born in Hollywood, California. From an early age, his father introduced him to the arts. Anderson attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, where he received the Ahmanson Scholarship and Emerging Artist of the Year Award from PBS. After graduating, he attended The Juilliard School in New York, where he majored in dance and music.

Anderson began his professional acting career in 2000, appearing in an episode of Boston Public. After that, he has appeared in shows like The Division (with Max Martini), The Parkers, and Phil of the Future. Anderson was also part of the main cast of the show Just Deal, from 2000 to 2002.

Aside of TV shows, Anderson has also starred in films like Thank Heaven, Warriors of Virtue 2: Return to Tao, Fat Albert, Grizzly Park (with Glenn Morshower), Stompin', and Drive Thru (with Leighton Meester).

Anderson was also a principal dancer of Ballet Hispanico of New York and became an assistant choreographer for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. He is married to celebrity Pilates instructor Kathryn Hunt Anderson. They are the owners of Hunt Pilates in Downtown Los Angeles.
