Silas Weir Mitchell

Silas Weir Mitchell Nelson (born September 30, 1969; age 54) is an actor who portrayed Eli Stram during Season 1 of 24.

Biography and career

Silas Weir Mitchell was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended The Montgomery Country Day School, formerly in Gladwyne, PA for his elementary school years. Eventually, he graduated from St. Paul's School, a college-preparatory boarding school in Concord, New Hampshire. Weir Mitchell also studied in Brown University in Rhode Island, where he majored in Theatre and Religion. He also has an MFA in Acting from the University of California, San Diego.
