Steve Lanza appeared on 24 as recurring background CTU workers during Season 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, and FBI agent Reed during Season 7. He returned in Season 8 as CTU Agent Lanza. All but two of his appearances were uncredited.
In Season 2, he played CTU Security guard Rayner.
During Season 3, he was credited and addressed as Jesse. During Season 4, he was addressed as Danny.
He also played a stand-in for Louis Lombardi, Carlos Bernard, Sean Astin, Carlo Rota and Paul McCrane. During Season 4 he stood in for Jonathan Ahdout, who played Behrooz, meaning he had to wear a black, curly wig for many months.
He was also a joke teller on-set and tended to do occasional principal photography shoots.
