Steven Schub (born July 7, 1967; age 56) portrayed Sabir Hussain during Season 6 of 24.

Biography and career[]

Steven Schub was born in Brooklyn, New York but was raised in Berkeley and Piedmont, California. When he was 16 years old, he attended the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, studying under Annette Bening. After high school, he spent the summer as a volunteer with the Israeli Army before entering New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.

During his junior year, Schub went back to Israel to study Religion and Philosophy at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. While there, he started a punk band and met Artimus Pyle, drummer of Lynyrd Skynyrd during a "Battle of the Bands" show where Pyle was judge. After returning to the US and graduating from NYU, Schub met Pyle again and started a band called The Fenwicks.

Aside of music, Schub has appeared in TV shows like Chicago Hope, NYPD Blue (with Ricky Schroder and Misha Collins), Third Watch, and E-Ring (with Benjamin Bratt, Dennis Hopper, Brittany Ishibashi, and Theo Kypri).

Schub also appeared in the 2008 film Stiletto, which also featured fellow 24 star Stana Katic and Tom Sizemore. Other films in which he has appeared are CBGB (also with Katic), The Chicago 8 (with Steven Culp), Dozers, Devil's Den, Spoiler, The Thirteenth Floor (with Dennis Haysbert), and Desperate Measures.
