The Sunrise Hills Mall was a shopping mall in Los Angeles, California.

The Sunrise Hills shopping mall was chosen as a target by the Dawn Brigade terrorist Ivan Erwich to test his stolen Sentox nerve gas. He sent his subordinates Komar and Polakov to meet up with fellow separatist Jacob Rossler to gas the civilians, but CTU agent Jack Bauer arrived in Rossler's place. President Charles Logan and CTU administrator Lynn McGill permitted Jack to release the gas and accept any collateral damage (estimated to be about civilian 900 casualties), in order to follow the two terrorists back to their hideout and capture the other 19 canisters.

Bauer decided against following through with his orders, and gave Komar and Polakov the wrong password for the gas canister. They beat and confined him, and eventually learned of a new method for dispersing the gas from fellow separatist Andrei over the phone. Having no need for him any longer, Komar went to kill "Rossler", but Jack snapped his neck, escaped, and minimized the gas dispersion. Only 11 people out of the projected hundreds died in the mall, as Jack was able to stem the release of the nerve gas by shutting off the air conditioning system. Jack and Curtis Manning, before departing to follow Polakov, left Agent Michaels in charge of the rescue effort at the mall.
