Coral Snake conspiracy, not oil consortium[]

Just a note about my recent changes here (and on Day 2 antagonists). Historically Hewitt has been associated with the oil consortium, primarily because: 1) he appeared in the episodes during which that conspiracy began to unravel, and 2) he was quite obviously connected to Kingsley. However, after taking some time to look at the details regarding his role, I am strongly confident he should be recategorized only within Category:Coral Snake conspirators, and not as Category:Oil consortium conspirators.

The "aha" moment came when I explicitly realized Kingsley (like Jonathan Wallace) was a mole within the Coral Snake conspiracy. Hewitt was hired and paid by Kingsley's cover persona within the Coral Snake plot. This is best understood by the fact that he had no idea Kingsley was planning to have him and Sherry vaporized with the entire city of Los Angeles. As such, Hewitt and Sherry were the "last holdouts" from the Coral Snake conspiracy, who allowed Jack to pull the thread (Kingsley) to the separate oil consortium conspiracy. I'm gonna have to disagree with this. First off, Hewitt was solely hired to create the Cyprus recording, which would've benefited the oil consortium and the oil consortium alone. No connection between Hewitt and Stanton/Gluck/Samuels was ever made (And Sherry only came into contact with him after the Coral Snake plot was blown wide open.); he was only seen working for Kingsley. And while it's true Kingsley was playing him on numerous different levels, that doesn't necessarily mean Hewitt had to be affiliated with a completely separate conspiracy. With all that taken into account, I'd say Hewitt was definitely the low man on the totem pole, but in bed with the oil consortium nonetheless. Nitromancer (talk) 21:23, April 30, 2015 (UTC)
I definitely see that now. One last thing I'm uncertain about, though: can you explain where Sherry fits in to all this? She was only working with Kingsley in his cover persona among the Coral Snake group, so how did Hewitt know about her? Blue Rook  talk  contribs 02:41, May 1, 2015 (UTC)
Kingsley apparently had Hewitt create recordings of a number of his phone conversations, including those he's had with Sherry. She would later find out about this and contact Hewitt in the hope of getting him to hand them over. That's how I think it happened, at least; we later hear Sherry claim that Hewitt actually created them on his own volition as an insurance policy. But either way, it was Sherry who knew about Hewitt, not vice versa. Nitromancer (talk) 03:34, May 1, 2015 (UTC)
