Tamara Renee Tunie (born March 14, 1959; age 65) played Alberta Green in Season 1 of 24.

Biography[]

Tamara Tunie was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, but grew up in Homestead. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 1981 with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Her first TV appearance was in Spenser: For Hire. She went on to appear in shows like Tribeca, SeaQuest DSV, Feds (with Frank John Hughes), Chicago Hope, Sex and the City, NY Undercover, and the original Law & Order.

In 1994, Tunie landed a guest role on NYPD Blue as Lillian Fancy. She appeared on 5 episodes from 1994 to 1997, alongside Tony Todd, Lourdes Benedicto, Dean Norris, and Michael Cavanaugh. Also, after starring on the first season of 24, she has been part of the cast of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as Medical Examiner Melinda Warner. She has shared the screen with Zeljko Ivanek, Donnie Keshawarz, and Silas Weir Mitchell on the show.

Tunie has also appeared in the films Sweet Lorraine (with Evan Handler), Wall Street, Bloodhounds of Broadway (with Esai Morales), Rising Sun (with Ray Wise), City Hall (with Nestor Serrano), The Money Shot and The Devil's Advocate (both with Vincent Laresca), Eve's Bayou, The Peacemaker (with Sebastian Roché), Snake Eyes, and The Caveman's Valentine (with Colm Feore). Her most recent flick to date is Robert Zemeckis' Flight alongside Denzel Washington and Don Cheadle.

Tunie has been credited in some projects as Tamara Tunie Bouquett.
