Tech 1 was a large, secure server room inside of Los Angeles CTU, dominated by a large circular bank of computer screens in the center of the room from which most of the work is done. They could bring up survellience of any part of CTU. The room was soundproof and shielded from electromagnetic pulse bombs because it houses much of CTU's technical equipment.

Gael Ortega used this room during the events of Day 3. He organized and helped Hector Salazar free his brother and capture Jack Bauer. Once she discovered his plan, Kim Bauer was taken captive by Gael and secured in Tech 1. Adam found her soon after, and she told him that Gael had kidnapped her, and he was arrested.
Later, Chloe O'Brian worked out of the Tech room when Nina Myers tricked Jack into releasing a worm into CTU that would open the systems for anyone to access, such as terrorists, that could give out information on undercover moles. She managed to neutralise the threat.
