Edward M. "Teddy" Sears (born April 6, 1977; age 40) is an American actor who will play Keith Mullins in 24: Legacy. Mullins is the ambitious and driven new head of CTU, and formerly second-in-command to Rebecca Ingram. Sears' casting was confirmed on February 23, 2016.

Biography and careerEdit

Sears was born on April 6, 1977 in Washington, D.C. Inspired by his great-grandfather and aunt, both Olympic medalists, Sears played varsity football for the University of Maryland until transferring. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 1999, majoring in business management.

Sears's made his acting debut in One Life to Live in 2001. He has since made guest appearances in a number of TV series, including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (with Tamara Tunie), CSI: Miami (with Raphael Sbarge), Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (with Evan Handler), Ugly Betty (with Alan Dale and Tony Plana), The Defenders (with Stephen Root and Tim Griffin), Torchwood (with Benito Martinez), 666 Park Avenue (with Nick Chinlund), and The Flash (with Patrick Sabongui and Kett Turton). In 2011, Sears had a recurring role in American Horror Story: Murder House as Zachary Quinto's on-screen boyfriend, also appearing with Connie Britton and Kate Mara.

Sears was a series regular in the TNT drama Raising the Bar (with Currie Graham, Rey Gallegos, Enuka Okuma, and Dameon Clarke) and Showtime's Masters of Sex. He also portrayed Jennifer Love Hewitt's husband in the 2010 film The Client List.

Since 2015, Sears has played Jay Garrick, the Earth-2 version of the Flash, in CW's popular superhero series The Flash, also featuring Patrick Sabongui.

Role on 24 Edit

Sears played the role of CTU National Director Keith Mullins. His casting was announced on February 23, 2016. Sears was part of the main cast and appeared in all 12 episodes of the season. Mullins was described on press releases as "ambitious and driven".[1]
