Tehmina Sunny (born September 6, 1980; age 43) played Farah Azizan in 24: Live Another Day.

Biography and career

Sunny was born in Croydon, England to Indian parents. She became interested in the arts from an early age and received a music scholarship for playing the violin, viola, and piano. She then branched into acting, appearing in several school productions. However, she decided to put acting in hiatus while studying to be a computer programmer. Sunny attended the University of Leeds in England, where she studied Business Information Systems.

After graduating, Sunny retook her acting endeavors, appearing in films like Children of Men, Retribution, Elevator, and Argo (with Tate Donovan, Rory Cochrane, and Zeljko Ivanek). Sunny has also appeared in shows like NCIS (with Pauley Perrette), CSI: NY, and Undercovers.

Role on 24

Sunny played the role of Farah Azizan during 24: Live Another Day. Farah was the sister of reluctant terrorist Naveed Shabazz and the mother of Yasmin. On an interview before the 2014 Emmy Awards, Sunny described the work on 24 as "a wonderful experience". When asked about the character of Farah, she described it as "kind of a good guy that's caught up in a bad world".[1] Sunny appeared in one episode and was credited as a guest star.
