The three attacks of Day 1 were all orchestrated as part of an attempt on the life Senator David Palmer. The mastermind of them all was Victor Drazen, who wanted revenge on Palmer and Jack Bauer for an operation years before that ended up killing Drazen's wife and daughter.

	Purpose: Kill Senator David Palmer during a breakfast at Santa Clarita Power Plant, and frame Jack Bauer for it. Outcome: Sniper Jonathan Matijevich had Jack Bauer arm his weapon so it would have his fingerprints. But when he was about to fire at Palmer, Bauer created a diversion by grabbing the gun of a Secret Service agent, causing Palmer to be dragged of the stage in time.

	Purpose: Victor Drazen gave Jack Bauer a tricked phone and told him he should give it to Palmer, so he could hear his demands. The phone was supposed to explode when Palmer answered it. Outcome: Jack gave Palmer the phone without knowing about the bomb. When Palmer answered, Jack guessed that it was a threat and grabbed the phone and threw it out the window.

The first two attacks of Day 2 were carried out by the terrorist organization Second Wave and their leader Syed Ali, but were ultimately orchestrated by a cabal of businessmen led by Peter Kingsley, Alexander Trepkos, and Max. Their intention was to lead the US into a war with the Middle East thus raising the prices of oil, and subsequently their profits.

	Purpose: Detonate a nuclear bomb in Los Angeles. Outcome: Jack Bauer intercepted the bomb at Norton Airfield and when they couldn't deactivate it, he offered himself to fly a plane with the nuclear bomb over the Mojave Desert to detonate it in a safe place. George Mason got himself in the plane without Jack noticing it and volunteered himself to do it, while Jack parachuted to safety.

	Purpose: Assassinate President David Palmer to coerce the United States into war, increasing oil and armament profits. Outcome: Palmer was critically injured but survived the attack. However he was wheelchair bound for several months, but the US didn't go to war.

The attacks of Day 3 were all orchestrated by Stephen Saunders who wanted revenge against the United States when they didn't negotiate to release him from a Bosnian prison. To achieve this, he acquired the Cordilla virus from Michael Amador and handed it to several couriers he sent across the country.

	Purpose: Stephen Saunders released the Cordilla virus at the hotel as an initial demonstration of what he would do if President David Palmer didn't comply with his demands. Outcome: Just when Gael Ortega was about to deactivate the device with the virus, it released the virus into the Hotel ventilation system infecting most of the guests. One of the guests managed to get out infecting more people along the way.

	Purpose: Stephen Saunders threatened to release the virus in several US states if President David Palmer didn't comply with his demands. One of his demands was that Palmer should have CTU executive Ryan Chappelle executed, while another was to release a list of covert US agents in different countries. Outcome: Although Jack Bauer did execute Ryan Chappelle as part of Saunders' demands, Palmer refused to comply with the other demand, and CTU Agents around the country captured all of Saunders' couriers before they released the virus.

All the terrorist attacks during Day 4 were orchestrated in one way or the other by Habib Marwan, a Turkish immigrant that wanted to cripple the United States of America.

	Purpose: Kidnap Secretary of Defense James Heller and broadcast his execution through the Internet. Outcome: Although Jack Bauer stopped the execution from happening, the real purpose was to overload Internet servers to load a virus that would give them control of nuclear reactors around the country.

	Purpose: Create nuclear meltdowns in 104 nuclear power plants across the country. Outcome: Although Edgar Stiles and CTU managed to stop 103 of the meltdowns, the nuclear plant in San Gabriel Island melted killing an unknown number of people.

	Purpose: Shoot down Air Force One to kill President John Keeler and retrieve the nuclear football. Outcome: Mitch Anderson successfully shot down Air Force One, although his plane was shot down too shortly after. Anderson ejected his parachute on time, but his fate was unknown. Habib Marwan's men retrieved the nuclear football at the site of the crash shortly after.

	Purpose: Use US own nuclear warheads against themselves launching a nuclear warhead at Los Angeles. Outcome: Although the warhead was successfully launched from Iowa, F-18 jets managed to shoot it down without detonating it.

The attacks of Day 5 started as an elaborate conspiracy orchestrated by the government of the United States led by Alan Wilson, President Charles Logan, and a group of businessman that included Christopher Henderson and Graem Bauer to sell canisters of Sentox nerve gas to Russian separatists, but then activate the gas at their base. However, when terrorist Vladimir Bierko found out about their plan, he decided to use the gas on American soil.

Outcome: Palmer and Michelle were killed, while Tony was critically injured. Chloe was saved in time by Jack himself, who managed to prove his innocence later.

	Purpose: Terrorists from Dawn Brigade siege the Ontario Airport with the intention of derailing the signing of an anti-terrorist treaty by President Charles Logan and Yuri Suvarov. Outcome: Although Jack Bauer and CTU managed to stop the terrorists, it was revealed later that the siege was a diversion for terrorists to retrieve canisters of Sentox nerve gas hidden at the airport.

	Purpose: Ivan Erwich intended to release a canister of Sentox nerve gas at the Sunrise Hills Shopping Mall as a test before taking the remaining canisters to his superior Vladimir Bierko. Outcome: Jack Bauer managed to delay the release of the nerve gas and minimized its dispersion after it was released, going against the orders of President Charles Logan.

	Purpose: Vladimir Bierko intended to attack Suvarov's motorcade as retaliation for the anti-terrorist treaty signed with the US, and as part of his revenge against Russia. Outcome: Although the motorcade was successfully attacked and several Secret Service agents were killed, Suvarov and his wife, Anya survived.

	Purpose: Vladimir Bierko intended to use a canister of Sentox nerve gas in the hospital to distract authorities from his other activities. Outcome: Curtis Manning successfully intercepted the canister and released it in a safe place.

	Purpose: Vladimir Bierko intended to use a canister of Sentox nerve gas in the CTU building to cripple their attempts to stop him. Outcome: Jack Bauer killed Ostroff although not before the release of the gas. Chloe O'Brian managed to seal some areas of the building, but the gas still killed 40% of CTU personnel.

	Purpose: Vladimir Bierko intended to release a canister of Sentox nerve gas at Wilshire Gas Company through the city pipelines killing thousands of people at their homes. Outcome: Jack Bauer and Curtis Manning managed to destroy the pipelines before it reached its destination. Bierko was arrested by CTU.

	Purpose: Vladimir Bierko purchased schematics to the Russian submarine Natalia and used his last nerve gas canister to kill the crew. He planned to use the submarine nuclear armament against US targets. Outcome: Jack Bauer and Christopher Henderson infiltrated the submarine, killed Bierko, and stopped him from using the submarine.

The initial attacks on Day 6 were the culmination of a chain of attacks that terrorist Abu Fayed had begun 11 weeks earlier against the United States. The attempt on Wayne Palmer was a move to avoid his negotiation with Hamri Al-Assad.

	Purpose: Detonate a bomb at Los Angeles Union Station. Outcome: Jack Bauer managed to intercept the bomber, Nasir Trabelsi, and kick him out of the train and into the tunnel were the bomb detonated without casualties.

	Purpose: Detonate a suitcase nuclear device in a crowded area of Los Angeles. Outcome: Hasan Numair managed to detonate the bomb during a raid at his warehouse, although not at the intended target.

	Purpose: Assassinate President Wayne Palmer to avoid his negotiation with former terrorist Hamri Al-Assad. Outcome: Although Palmer survived the attack, he was critically injured, and Assad was killed by the bomb.

	Purpose: Detonate one of the suitcase nuclear devices in San Francisco using an unmanned aerial drone. Outcome: Jack Bauer and CTU managed to intercept the drone and detonate it away from its target. However, a radiation leak occurred at the crash site causing several casualties.

	Purpose: Infiltrate the building of CTU Los Angeles, retrieve Josh Bauer and deliver him to Cheng Zhi. Outcome: Josh was temporarily taken, but Jack Bauer and some hostages wiped out Zhou and his mercenaries. Josh was rescued shortly after, though Cheng fled before he could be captured.

The early attacks of Day 7 were orchestrated by Iké Dubaku with the intention of coercing President Allison Taylor into aborting an American invasion into his country of Sangala. When he failed, Benjamin Juma himself decided to siege the White House. After this was thwarted, Juma's business ally, Jonas Hodges, threatened to attack the US with a lethal pathogen if the President didn't favor Starkwood's business in the defense of the country. Alan Wilson and the Prion variant cabal emerged later with the remains of the pathogen as a threat to United States and its people.

	Purpose: Using the CIP device, Dubaku crashed two planes over Washington, DC to force President Allison Taylor to retire her forces from Sangala. Outcome: Although the attack was successful, and produced more casualties on the site of the crash, President Taylor still refused to negotiate with terrorist Iké Dubaku.

	Purpose: Using the CIP device, Dubaku intended to blow the primary tank of a pesticide plant, which will cause 18,000 casualties in nearby city of Kidron, Ohio. Outcome: Dubaku aborted the plan when he saw Jack Bauer, Tony Almeida, and Bill Buchanan infiltrating his hideout at Ritter Building. The only casualty was the plant manager, John Brunner, who had gone into the primary tank room to release pressure and buy more time.
First Gentleman Henry Taylor	Day 7 3:00pm-4:00pm	Iké Dubaku	Partially successful	None
	Purpose: Dubaku threatened to kill the First Gentleman Henry Taylor if his wife, President Taylor didn't retire her forces from Sangala. Outcome: President Taylor still refused to negotiate with Dubaku, while Jack Bauer and Renee Walker found the location of Henry Taylor. However, he was still shot in the chest by a terrorist putting him in critical condition.
White House	Day 7 7:00pm-8:00pm	Benjamin Juma	Partially successful	13
	Purpose: General Benjamin Juma and his Presidential guard sieged the White House to force President Allison Taylor to condemn her invasion on Sangala in a video confession. He then planned on murdering her. Outcome: Many White House staff and Secret Service agents killed, and the President was aired delivering Juma's speech for some time. Bill Buchanan sacrificed himself to create a distraction while Jack Bauer and Aaron Pierce saved the President.

	Purpose: Jonas Hodges threatened to fire Python missiles loaded with prion variant at several eastern coast cities if President Allison Taylor didn't appoint him and Starkwood as a defense organization of the US. Outcome: Tony Almeida managed to rig the rocket launchers with C-4 and detonate it right before they were fired.

	Purpose: Alan Wilson and his cabal of conspirators planned to release the remaining canister of prion variant at a Washington DC subway station to create further chaos, forcing the US to raise their dependence of defense contractors. Outcome: Tony Almeida was captured, and Jack Bauer helped the courier Jibraan Al-Zarian to take the canister into safety. Jack finally threw the canister into an enclosed CDC vehicle where it dispersed safely.

• After the nuclear bomb exploded on the Mojave Desert during Day 2, a riot ensued in the city of Marietta in Atlanta, Georgia. Rioters were attacking several Islamic communities and it resulted in two casualties: a racist leader and a young boy.

• During the first hours of Day 3, there was a bioterrorist threat involving the release of the Cordilla virus, which was being carried by a teenager named Kyle Singer. However, it was revealed that the threat was fake and part of an elaborate sting operation orchestrated by Jack Bauer, Tony Almeida, and Gael Ortega to gain access to the real Cordilla virus.

• During Day 4, executives at McLennen-Forster detonated an Electromagnetic pulse bomb to prevent CTU from recovering incriminating information from their computers. The EMP caused a CTU helicopter to crash in the area and triggered a series of riots in downtown LA.

• Abu Fayed orchestrated several terrorist attacks during the 11 weeks prior to Day 6. The reported casualties of this attacks was 900.
