The Art of War was a military text written by Sun Tzu several thousand years before the time of Napoleon.

In the text, Sun identified the element of surprise as an invaluable weapon in the warrior's arsenal. Jack Bauer drew inspiration from this passage while working to rescue hostages from the Greater Nation militia. (Veto Power)

Jason Pillar assumed Charles Logan was quoting The Art of War when he said his recent speech in Columbia was "readiness to seize an opportunity." ("Day 8: 8:00am-9:00am")
