Themo Melikidze (born February 21, 1992; age 32) is a Georgian actor who portrays Khasan Dudayev in 24: Legacy. His casting was announced on October 24, 2016.

Career and biography[]

Melikidze was born in Tbilisi, Georgia. He is the oldest of three children. His father is a civil engineer and his mother a nurse. When he was 8 years old, Melikidze and his family moved to Belgium. In school, he excelled in sports like soccer and swimming, and eventually martial arts. Melikidze competed in various Taekwondo tournaments around the world.

Driven by an interest in athletics and stunts, Melikidze enrolled at the VHSI Athletic Institute in Bruges, where he majored in Sport and Physical Studies. During that time, he specialized in gymnastics, track and field, parkour and calisthenics. While finishing his studies in Belgium, Melikidze sent an audition tape to the New York Film Academy, and was granted a scholarship to study.

In 2013, after graduating, Melikidze received a contract to begin his acting career with The LiveInTheater. He appeared in plays and shows like They Ryan Case 1873, The Lombardi Case 1975, The Murder of Venus Xtravaganza, City of Revenants, and others. During that time, Melikidze also appeared in the film Beautiful Something and the short film The Disturber. In 2016, he appeared in Patriots Day (with James DuMont), where he portrayed Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev.
