Trent was a CTU Los Angeles field agent. He participated in the mission code-named Albatross.

With helicopter pilot Dave, Trent was sent to back up Jack Bauer and Moira O'Neal, who were being pursued by Irish Republican Army terrorists in another helicopter. Trent fired on the enemy chopper with a machine gun, destroying the instrument panel and crashing the chopper.
