Tuptas

Tuptas was an upscale restaurant in Los Angeles, California, close to Griffith Park.

During her separation from her husband Jack, Teri went on a few dates at Tuptas with her close friend Phil Parslow. ("Day 1: 4:00pm-5:00pm")

During Day 1, Teri suffered trauma-induced dissociative amnesia upon witnessing the car carrying her daughter Kim fall down a slope and explode. A passing motorist offered to give Teri a ride to a hospital, but Teri recognized the restaurant as they were passing by and asked a waiter to summon the manager, Henry Martin, hoping he might be able to help her regain her memory.

Mr. Martin, concerned for Teri's well-being, called Parslow to explain the situation and ask that he examine Teri personally. When Phil arrived, he diagnosed Teri's condition and insisted that he take her to a hospital, but she adamantly refused, so he drove her back to her house instead. Background information and notes

• The scenes in Tuptas were actually filmed at the Inn of the Seventh Ray, at 128 Old Topanga Canyon Road. Incidentally, the pay phones that Kim calls from when looking for Teri are just around the corner from the restaurant (and tables are visible when Kim is calling CTU).
