[edit] Horse trainer
While Hector Salazar and Claudia Hernandez watched, a group of ranchers tried to break in a horse at the Salazar estate in Mexico. One horse was being particularly difficult, and this trainer felt that the horse was not ready for use. Hector disagreed, and stated that the eyes of the horse indicated otherwise.
- The horse trainer was played by Jorge Noa in "Day 3 1:00pm-2:00pm."
[edit] Prison riot inmate
Jack Bauer caused a riot within the prison where Ramon Salazar was held. Jack and Ramon, wearing guards' clothes, were captured by the inmates and lined up with the real guards. This inmate shouted that the mob should execute the guards if they were not permitted to escape. However, another inmate, Peel, replied that none of them could step outside without getting shot by snipers, and that the guards were expendable to the authorities. As the others barricaded the doorways, the inmate demanded what to do, so Peel forced the guards to play Russian roulette. The inmate grabbed Buchanan, and then Jack, and forced them to the table to play. He may have been among the prisoners killed when Chase Edmunds and the authorities raided the room.

At the national televised Presidential debates between incumbent President David Palmer and his opponent, Senator John Keeler, the moderator introduced both men. When Keeler attacked the integrity of Palmer's physician and girlfriend Anne Packard, Palmer interrupted but was told by the moderator that Keeler still had time to speak. Later, when Palmer was receiving a message in his tiny earpiece, he was distracted from one of Keeler's challenges, and the moderator tried to get the President's attention.
- The debate moderator was played by Mark Thompson in "Day 3 5:00pm-6:00pm" and "Day 3 6:00pm-7:00pm."

While President David Palmer was speaking with his brother, Chief of Staff Wayne, an aide entered to inform him that Alan Milliken had called.

A security guard at the Chandler Plaza Hotel, Bruce Margolis, learned of the Cordilla virus attack and activated a fire alarm. However, CTU agents did not permit the guests to leave, in order to contain the virus. A male guest became irate, and then this woman expressed concern at the people outside who were wearing gas masks. She later asked Michelle Dessler why the phones were dead. She was the first in the lobby to have the excessive nosebleed, indicating that she would soon die of the virus.
- This guest was played by Sue Jin Song in "Day 3 4:00am-5:00am."

One of the guests at the Chandler Plaza Hotel, Danny, attempted to flee the building but was killed by Michelle Dessler, who feared that he would unintentionally spread the Cordilla virus into the city. A loved one of Danny, likely his wife, began to grieve when she saw his body. She became very hostile toward Michelle, shouting that federal agents should protect the people, not kill them. The woman had to be restrained by Craig Phillips and his assistant. It is not specified if she survived the virus attack.
- This guest was played by Liann Pattison in "Day 3 5:00am-6:00am."

One of the guests in the Chandler Plaza Hotel lobby stared in disbelief at the National Health Services workers who arrived outside in full HazMat suits. She was experiencing a large nosebleed, indicating that she would not survive the virus infection. She was present when the suicide capsules were made available.
- This guest was played by Mandy June Turpin in "Day 3 5:00am-6:00am" and "Day 3 6:00am-7:00am".

At the University of California, Santa Barbara, a man in a red shirt was watching Kim Bauer as she posed in disguise as Jane Saunders. The man appeared to be sent by terrorist Stephen Saunders to protect his daughter. He asked "Jane" for help, and eyed her when another librarian answered his question. Despite this man's suspicious behavior, another man named Lennox turned out to be sent by Saunders. Since Osterlind was the one who determined that Jane was captured, it is apparent that the man in the red shirt was not working with Lennox, and may have simply been a professor or visitor.
- The man in the red shirt was played by Bill Kalmenson in "Day 3 7:00am-8:00am".

A woman in the Chandler Plaza Hotel was forcibly moved by two agents in gas masks to be quarantined with the other guests. She was screaming in fear that she would be exposed to the Cordilla virus by being in proximity to the others. Since she was not exhibiting symptoms, it is unlikely that she was infected.
- The guest was played by Paris Tanaka in "Day 3 8:00am-9:00am".

When the Los Angeles subway train which Arthur Rabens was riding suddenly stopped, he knew that he was being tracked by the authorities. To evade capture, he placed his GPS device in the shopping bag of another white male passenger. His plan worked, and Jack Bauer, Chase Edmunds, and other CTU field agents focused on and captured the innocent man, giving Rabens time to escape.
- The man in the subway was played by Andrew Borba in "Day 3 11:00am-12:00pm".

A pedestrian on the intersection of Hope and 7th outside Los Angeles Subway witnessed a motorist named Frank Cassar being car-jacked and fatally wounded by bio-terrorist Arthur Rabens. The bystander reported this to responding agent Jack Bauer. Although he could not remember details about the car, he indicated the direction in which the attacker drove away, allowing Jack and Chase Edmunds to pursue.
- The bystander was played by Bob Jesser in "Day 3 12:00pm-1:00pm".

[edit] Forensics agent
Following a CTU raid on the brothel where Michael Amador was hiding, some terrorist equipment and evidence was seized. A forensics agent reported to Jack Bauer that an intact incubator was found and being processed for NHS. He also stated that some fingerprints and hairs would be sent to CTU for further analysis.
- The CTU forensics agent was played by David Kelsey in "Day 3 3:00am-4:00am."

Following a CTU raid on the brothel in Chinatown where Michael Amador was hiding, some terrorist equipment and evidence was seized. A tech agent reported to Jack Bauer that Amador's laptop had extensive schematics for the Chandler Plaza Hotel, enabling CTU to determine the first target where the Cordilla virus was likely to be released. He reappeared roughly eight hours later to examine the computer of Stephen Saunders, and expressed serious doubt that he would be able to extract anything useful from it.
- The tech agent was played by Brian Catalano in "Day 3 3:00am-4:00am" and "Day 3 11:00am-12:00pm."
[edit] Division agent at hotel
An agent from Division was present with Michelle Dessler and her CTU team when they arrived at the Chandler Plaza Hotel to contain the spread of the Cordilla virus. He was hesitant when Michelle, Gael Ortega, and the others chose to enter the hotel unprotected, but soon followed. He later guarded the main entrance door, and one guest became irate because the agent refused to let him exit the hotel. This agent may or may not have become infected with the virus.
- The Division agent was played by Bruce Nozick in "Day 3 3:00am-4:00am" and "Day 3 4:00am-5:00am". He also appeared during Day 2.

At the University of California, Santa Barbara, a CTU agent disguised as a janitor knocked out Jane Saunders so she could be questioned covertly. The agent was assisted after the struggle began by another plainclothes agent, Alice. Once Jane was subdued, the janitor decoy called for Kim Bauer to enter the library disguised as Jane. The plan failed, as the man assigned to observe Jane was aware of the switch, and Stephen Saunders eventually found out that his daughter was captured.
- The janitor agent appeared in "Day 3 7:00am-8:00am".

An intelligence agent interrupted Adam Kaufman while he was talking to Jack Bauer. She needed help coordinating with National Health Services during the Cordilla virus threat.

Gael Ortega and Jack Bauer coordinated with the pilot of Ramon Salazar's private jet to rescue Ramon from American authorities. The pilot was aware of the danger of his mission. He succeeded in landing in Mexico. Among the Salazar supporters he transported with Ramon were Tomas and Pedro.
- This pilot was played by Oscar Nunez in "Day 3 6:00pm-7:00pm."

While breaking Ramon Salazar out of prison with forged documents, Jack Bauer was told by this guard to wait for Warden Mitchell to arrive. Jack convinced the warden that an error on the paperwork was a simple mistake, and was permitted to leave. When Mitchell surmised that something was wrong, he ordered the guard to check the camera for Chase Edmunds in Ramon's cell. Since the camera angle was askew, the warden went to inspect it, and this guard notified others to assist.
- The prison guard was played by Steve Heinze in "Day 3 4:00pm-5:00pm."

When the terrorist Arthur Rabens was hiding among a crowd of subway train passengers at Los Angeles Subway, CTU and the LAPD coordinated an effort to discover him by searching every white male. Jack Bauer explained to this officer the specifics of the plan, and sent him to get it started despite his concern that it would take all day.
- The LAPD officer was played by Kevin McCorkle in "Day 3 12:00pm-1:00pm."

When the terrorist Arthur Rabens was hiding among a crowd of subway train passengers at Los Angeles Subway, CTU Los Angeles and the LAPD coordinated an effort to discover him by searching every white male. This officer was assigned a group of 10 males. One of them was Rabens, who snuck away and killed two LAPD officers guarding an escalator.
- The LAPD officer was played by Conroe Brooks in "Day 3 12:00pm-1:00pm."

A number of virologists arrived with Dr. Nicole Duncan to quarantine the home of Sam and Helen Singer. One of them confirmed to Dr. Duncan that their tests proved the location to be completely clean of the Cordilla virus.

This doctor tested the blood of Jack Bauer after Ryan Chappelle learned that Jack used heroin to gain the trust of the Salazars. He later treated Nina Myers in an emergency procedure after she impaled herself on the interrogation syringe of Darren Richards. The doctor and at least four others were killed by Nina during her escape attempt.
- The doctor was played by Fred Griffith in "Day 3 2:00am-3:00am."

William Cole went to an emergency care facility in Studio City for help with a persistent nosebleed. A nurse there gave him some paperwork to fill out. When Cole saw a news report concerning a deadly outbreak at the hotel where he had just been, he realized he was symptomatic and alerted the nurse. The nurse shouted for Dr. Joyner. She, Cole, and several others were subsequently quarantined.
- The nurse was played by Mary Wickliffe in "Day 3 7:00am-8:00am."

A Delta Force strike team led by Captain Reiss was sent into Mexico near Las Nieves to capture the dangerous Cordilla virus. Among them was a soldier who tended to the gunshot wound in the hand of Chase Edmunds, who had been tortured by Hector Salazar and his men Eduardo and Emilio. Chase abruptly left the medic before being fully treated to speak with Reiss.
- The delta medic was played by Sven Lindstrom in "Day 3 11:00pm-12:00am."

A Delta Force transport plane was sent to Mexico by Captain Mike Murphy to pick up Jack Bauer, Chase Edmunds, some Delta soldiers, and prisoner Nina Myers. As they flew to Los Angeles, Tony Almeida called the plane's pilot directly and ordered him to return to Mexico according to Nina's demands, since her computer worm was causing havoc inside CTU's computers. Jack threatened the pilot with a weapon, and told him to ignore Tony. They spoke briefly until Chloe O'Brian neutralized the computer worm, and Jack left the pilot to fly to LA, telling him to report the threat if he wished.

During Day 3, President David Palmer returned to Los Angeles to appear in the presidential debates with opponent Senator John Keeler. During his previous visit, he was nearly assassinated. Before rehearsing for the debates, a reporter asked Palmer if he was uneasy about returning to LA, and Palmer expressed that he was not at all.
She was also present with Phil, Carol, and a number of other reporters in a no-camera conference with the President and Press Secretary Gerry Whitehorn.
- This reporter was played by Pamela Stollings in "Day 3 1:00pm-2:00pm" and "Day 3 8:00am-9:00am".

Keeler accused Palmer of fabricating a national threat to avoid answering a difficult debate question, but the public learned of a serious outbreak soon after. A field reporter asked Keeler about his subsequent loss of support from the AFL-CIO and other unions.

A Secret Service agent brought her into the office where Palmer and his brother Wayne were working. There, she revealed that the events of the day helped her decide to end the relationship she had with David.

When the corpse of a Cordilla virus victim was dropped of at National Health Services, this guard responded after the doors were blown off. He radioed for backup after seeing the damage caused by the bomb and the mutilated body nearby.

A mall security guard reported to Tony Almeida that suspect Kyle Singer was located within the premises. He and the others were told to wait at a distance while Tony approached Kyle alone, and therefore was unable to help Tony when David Gomez shot him from behind.

A security guard at the Chandler Plaza Hotel assisted head of security Craig Phillips. The guard helped lock the building down. He failed to find Marcus Alvers, who planted the Cordilla virus inside the building. It is not known if Phillips' assistant was infected with the virus.
- The hotel security guard was played by Matthew Kaminsky in "Day 3 3:00am-4:00am."

Another guard at the Chandler Plaza Hotel assisted head of security Craig Phillips. This guard helped restrain a female guest as she grieved for the loss of her loved one. The guard appeared symptomatic with the Cordilla virus, ensuring that he would die. He was the third person, following an old couple, to choose the suicide capsules instead of the miserable death of the virus.
- The guard (credited as an infected guest) was played by Roger Ranney in "Day 3 5:00am-6:00am" and "Day 3 6:00am-7:00am".

When Oriol tried to flee Las Nieves with his daughter Claudia, son Sergio, and Chase Edmunds, one of Ramon Salazar's narco-terrorists demanded to inspect his truck. As he approached the back of the pickup, Chase suddenly rose up and shot down the guard and his partner. The gunfire startled Hector Salazar, who fired upon the truck with a number of others. Claudia died in the crossfire.
- Salazar's guard was played by Frank Alvarez in "Day 3 10:00pm-11:00pm."

The location of terrorist supporter Michael Amador was discovered by CTU agent Jim Wong. As Wong reported to his SWAT captain, one of Amador's two armed guards discovered him. Amador shot Wong after the guard dragged him in. Before Amador could flee, the CTU SWAT team burst in. The door guard was killed, and the guard who found Wong was stunned by a flash grenade and apprehended.
- Amador's guard was played by Nathanial Moon in "Day 3 3:00am-4:00am."

Stephen Saunders sent this operative to plant a dispersal unit for the Cordilla virus in an American city. Saunders confirmed the man's destination, and informed him that he would ring a special cell phone twice when it was time to release the virus. One of at least ten virus couriers, this man likely departed Los Angeles via LAX.
- "Saunders' Operative" was played by Gavin Glennon in "Day 3 4:00am-5:00am."
[edit] Saunders mercenary
After Stephen Saunders coerced President David Palmer to have CTU Regional Division Director Ryan Chappelle executed, he sent an unmarked, black van with four masked mercenaries to confirm the death. The leader of the group confronted Jack Bauer at gunpoint while two of the others took the body. He said that if the van was tracked, Saunders would release the Cordilla virus again. The mercenary later appeared briefly, without his mask, when he called Saunders to confirm a positive identification of Chappelle's body.
- The mercenary was played by Robert Bezanilla in "Day 3 7:00am-8:00am."
