Van Nuys was a district of Los Angeles, California, located in the San Fernando Valley.

History[]

Day 1[]

Paladio Furniture, owned by Mr. Nowrasteh, was located in Van Nuys. Dan Mounts, who worked at the store, brought Kim Bauer and Janet York there after midnight on Day 1 to party for a while, before leaving to deliver them to Ira Gaines. Shortly after the four left the store, Teri Bauer arrived with Kevin Carroll, who was posing as Janet's father Alan. At the request of Teri's husband Jack, waited at the store for the girls to return. They cleaned up the party mess and talked while they waited. ("Day 1: 12:00am-1:00am", "1:00am-2:00am")

After killing Officer Jessie Hampton during a chase at 18166 San Fernando Road, Greg Penticoff was arrested and taken to the nearby Van Nuys Precinct station. In order to find out who Penticoff was working for, Jack Bauer broke him out to get him to an arranged meeting on Avenue 26. ("Day 1: 4:00am-5:00am")

Day 4[]

Richard Heller lived in Van Nuys during Day 4. Thanks to a transmitter Mandy placed on Richard's phone, terrorists working for Navi Araz were able to learn about an unscheduled visit to the house by Richard's father, Secretary of Defense James Heller, and abduct both him and his daughter Audrey Raines. ("Day 4: 7:00am-8:00am", "4:00am-5:00am")

Day 5[]

During Day 5, Collette Stenger arranged to meet Theo Stoller at Van Nuys Airfield, but she was arrested there. Later, Audrey and Jack Bauer redirected Secretary Heller's plane to Van Nuys Airfield to tell him about President Charles Logan's involvement in the Sentox nerve gas conspiracy. However, Christopher Henderson's group later attacked the facility, stealing the audio recording proving Logan's involvement. Henderson's associate, Scott Evans, later returned to the airfield with the recording, intending to escape aboard Diplomatic Flight 520 after he replaced the original co-pilot. ("Day 5: 8:00pm-9:00pm", "12:00am-1:00am", "1:00am-2:00am")
